Privacy Policy

Your privacy, in plain terms
This site belongs to Liz Layton and the Stronger Than The Storm coaching practice. Many of the people who come here are rebuilding after abuse, and privacy is not a small thing — it can be a matter of safety. So this page is written plainly, and the promises in it are real.
The short version: we collect only what we need, we treat it with care, we never sell, rent, or trade your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
When you reach out. If you fill out the intake form, book a free strategy session, or email us, we collect what you choose to share — usually your name, your email address, and whatever you tell us about your situation. You decide how much to say.
When you subscribe to The Letter. If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send it to you. Nothing more.
Automatically, as you browse. Like most websites, we collect basic, non-identifying information about how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from — through analytics. We use this only to understand what’s helpful and to keep the site working. We use cookies for this, and you can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the banner when you arrive.
How we use your information
We use what you share to reply to you, to prepare for a session if you book one, to send you The Letter if you asked for it, and to keep the website running, secure, and useful. That’s the whole list.
What we never do
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We never share what you tell us about your circumstances with third parties for marketing. Your story is yours.
Who helps us run the site
Running a website means using a few trusted services. These providers only handle your information to help us operate — never for their own purposes:
- Website hosting keeps the site online.
- Google Workspace handles our email.
- Our newsletter and contact tools (hosted on our own site) manage The Letter and your messages to us.
- Analytics helps us understand site usage, configured to minimize identifying information.
- A cookie-consent tool records your cookie choices.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only as long as we need it. If you reach out or work with us, we keep what’s needed for that relationship and no longer. If you subscribe to The Letter, we keep your email until you unsubscribe — which you can do from any issue. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from The Letter whenever you like. To make any of these requests, just contact us using the details below.
Keeping your information safe
This site runs over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we use reputable providers to store and handle information. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share.
Confidentiality
What you share with Liz — in the intake form, in a session, or in a message — is treated as confidential. It is not shared with others as part of running this practice.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date at the top.
